Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 May 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tax Rebase website and the Ask Cyprus service (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you accept these Terms.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by Tax Rebase ("Tax Rebase", "we", "our", "us"), a Cyprus-based relocation advisory brand. Contact: info@taxrebase.com.
2. About the Services
Tax Rebase coordinates relocation to Cyprus, including company formation, tax structuring, residency, banking, residency by investment, and lifestyle setup. The actual regulated services (legal, tax, accounting, immigration filings) are delivered by our licensed operating partners. Tax Rebase itself does not provide regulated legal, tax, accounting, or immigration advice.
Ask Cyprus is a free, AI-assisted Q&A service that draws on publicly available community discussions about life in Cyprus, accessed via third-party data archives. We do not train AI models on this content; we retrieve and cite public posts so you can verify them at their original source. Its purpose is to give general orientation only. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.
3. Registration and age
You may use the Services without an account, or you may create one. To create an account or use authenticated features, you must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
4. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms and all applicable laws, you may access and use the Services for lawful personal or business purposes related to understanding or arranging a move to Cyprus.
5. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
- Use the Services in a way that infringes, misappropriates, or violates anyone's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract data from the Services or the underlying models, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Modify, copy, lease, sell, or distribute any part of the Services.
- Use Output (defined below) to develop competing products or to train competing AI models.
- Misrepresent AI-generated Output as having been produced by a human.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent any rate limits, security, or moderation measures of the Services.
- Submit content that contains personal data of another person without that person's consent or a legal basis to do so.
Content moderation. We may use automated systems and human review to detect and address content or behaviour that violates these Terms. We may remove or restrict content, limit access to features, or suspend or close accounts as appropriate.
6. Your content (Inputs and Outputs)
You may submit prompts, questions, files, or other material to the Services ("Inputs"). You receive responses from the Services based on those Inputs ("Outputs"). Together these are your "Content".
You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licences, and permissions needed to provide Inputs to the Services, and that your Inputs do not violate these Terms or any applicable law.
You retain ownership of your Inputs to the extent you held that ownership before submission. To the extent permitted by law, we assign to you all right, title, and interest we may have in Outputs generated specifically for you.
Because the Services are AI-assisted, multiple users may receive similar Outputs. Our assignment above does not give you exclusive rights over similar content received by other users.
We may use your Content to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services and to comply with applicable law. We will handle any personal data within your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Accuracy, reliance, and professional advice
Ask Cyprus generates responses by predicting plausible answers based on community discussions and public sources. Outputs may be incomplete, out of date, materially inaccurate, or offensive, even when they appear confident, and do not represent the views of Tax Rebase. Cyprus tax, immigration, banking, and property rules change frequently.
If an Output references any third-party products, services, or organisations, that does not mean the third party endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with Tax Rebase or Ask Cyprus.
You agree that:
- You will not rely on Outputs as a sole source of truth or factual information.
- You will not rely on Outputs as a substitute for advice from a licensed Cyprus professional (accountant, lawyer, immigration consultant, financial advisor, or medical professional, as applicable).
- You will not use any Output relating to a person for any purpose that could have a legal or material impact on that person, such as decisions about tax, immigration, employment, housing, insurance, legal, medical, or other important matters.
- Before acting on any Output, you will independently verify it with a licensed professional. Tax Rebase can introduce you to its operating partners on request.
8. Intellectual property and copyright complaints
Tax Rebase, the Tax Rebase logo, Ask Cyprus, and the design and software underlying the Services are owned by us or our licensors. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services.
If you believe that content available through the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to info@taxrebase.com that includes: (a) a description of the copyrighted work, (b) where on the Services the allegedly infringing material is located, (c) your contact details, (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law, and (e) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content while we review the claim.
9. Account closure and your right to withdraw
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting info@taxrebase.com. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
We may suspend or close your access to the Services if you breach these Terms, if we must do so to comply with the law, or if your use creates a risk of harm to us, our users, or third parties. We will give reasonable notice where appropriate.
10. Liability
Where we provide the Services with reasonable skill and care, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by us unless it is (a) caused by our breach of these Terms or (b) reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you started using the Services. We are not responsible for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services.
11. Dispute resolution
If you have a concern, please contact us first at info@taxrebase.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you may have in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, regulatory requirements, or the way the Services work. If a change materially and adversely affects you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice via the website or, where applicable, by email. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. General terms
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. This does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you usually reside.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign or transfer our rights or obligations to an affiliate, a successor in interest, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction. If we do, your rights as a consumer will not be affected.
Severability and non-waiver. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we delay enforcing a provision, we do not waive our right to enforce it later.
Feedback. If you send us feedback or suggestions about the Services, we may use them to improve the Services without compensation to you.
Third-party services. The Services may contain links to or cite content from third-party services, including community discussion platforms. Those third parties operate under their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
